Southwestern New Mexico eighth annual Give Grandly campaign kicks off From Staff Reports SILVER CITY - The Give Grandly Coalition, with the support of the Grant County Community Foundation, has launched the eighth annual Give Grandly marathon fundraiser for area nonprofits. On Saturday, May 8, the community will have the chance to give back to 58 organizations that do so much to improve the quality of life in Grant, Luna, Catron and Hidalgo counties. These groups run food pantries and shelters; rescue animals; provide activities for children; promote literacy and art; support libraries, museums, schools and the university; grant scholarships; foster economic development; advocate for the environment; maintain trails; preserve historical and archeological sites; and organize community festivals, plays, concerts, lectures, field trips to name just some of the things they do for the community.
