Adobe holds its annual Adobe Summit this week, held in a virtual setting for the second consecutive year due to COVID-19 precautions.
And though itâs sad that more than 20,000 attendees, who usually descend upon Las Vegas to get the latest from the digital customer experience software giant, wonât get that chance â missing out on incredible food, entertainment and in-person appearances from famous people, to boot â itâs kind of fitting that Adobeâs tasked with putting on a digital show again. ActiveCampaign raises US$240 million
The biggest funding news this week is from ActiveCampaign, which has raised US$240 million in a Series C round to develop its customer experience automation (CXA) offering.
The round, which brought total financing raised to date to US$360 million, was led by new investor Tiger Global and included new participation by Dragoneer. The Series C investments were completed at a valuation in excess of US $3 billion.
ActiveCampaign plans to investment in product development, ongoing global expansion and acceleration of partner ecosystem initiatives.
Adobe pitches at first-party customer data challenge, marketing workflow with latest tech releases
Adobe Experience Cloud fresh features and tools canvass first-party data collaboration, customer journey anlaytics and optimisation, ecommerce and marketing workflow management
Customer data management, reporting and actionability was put firmly in the spotlight this week for Adobe as the vendor unveiled a new approach to its customer data platform (CDP) offering and journey analytics and first-party data sharing capabilities.
A decade on from its push into the digital marketing category, the swathe of new product and feature announcements to Adobe’s Experience Cloud announced this week extended the breadth of the platform across not only data-driven marketing orchestration, but also customer journey management, commerce and the marketing function’s operating workflow.
