The North Wayne Ambulance Service in Cisne has announced the service will be closing down. The closure is due to staffing shortages. With those shortages, officials with North Wayne Ambulance Service are not able to provide 24/7 EMS coverage that is mandated by the state. Officials say the closure will be for 60 days for restructuring. Below is the official statement The North Wayne Ambulance Board regrets to inform our communities that North Wayne Ambulance is going to temporarily close for 60 days for restructuring. Due to staff shortage we aren't able to provide 24/7 EMS coverage, mandated by the state. Moving forward the boards actions will be to examine all financials and day to day operations within the service and make the appropriate changes. We will be actively looking for a Coordinator and Certified EMT's. I think I can speak for the entire Board, when I say that we do not want to see this service go away. This community needs North Wayne Ambulance. Please trust tha
