Vehicles hit each other at around 9 pm tonight. It happened also Platt Springs road off of orangeburg word road. Few details released but we do have item on the phone. He is with the sheriffs department. We are very early in what will be a late fee process with this incident. What i can share with you is that to Lexington County Sheriffs Department vehicles were involved in a collision. That included two deputies and one reserve deputy. They were responding to a call of a burglary and process. That is when the collision occurred. As per policy, the South Carolina Highway Patrol is the agency that looks into the collision. They are beginning the early stages of their investigation. All three of our deputies were transported with injuries and we are not certain what kind of injuries at this point. We should tell you that the National Guard has been deployed to los angeles. This is definitely not the National Guard, but these are a number of Sheriffs Department vehicles that we are just seeing arrive here on melrose avenue. There has been a large number of stores. Ive lost count of how many stores have been looted, up and down the street. And youre watching it with me. Youre witnessing, certainly, a larger Law Enforcement presence here. The curfew is at 8 00. It was at 8 clack. Th that was two hours ago. There have been fires set at these stores in addition to the looting. We cant tell you that they are connected, but we can tell you that the police say that the fires appear to be happening, timing wise, after three have been looted. And so, what they have been doing as protesters have been on the streets is theyve been telling them that three are going to be under arrest because theyre in violation of the curfew.
