Oppo looks to webAR to launch latest phone campaign May 13, 2021 9:38 Australian-based Spaces Interactive has created a web-based augmented reality campaign (webAR) for Chinese smartphone brand, Oppo’s new Find X3 phone series. The Awaken Colour webAR campaign was designed to attract audiences remotely, using AR technologies, with a webAR game being designed to highlight key technological features of the Find X3 phones, including the camera, A.I. scene enhancement and more. The activation took inspiration from the concept of ‘perspective art’, to guide design and development of 3D shapes that tell the story of the new Find X3. With no app download required, the gamified experience leverages QR codes and web links, to direct users to find and stand in the correct position to view the perspective art pieces; as they get closer to forming the object, the hidden messages related to the Find X3 phone features are revealed.

Streem adds Seven s Jack McLintock to lead media outreach

McLintock also has prior experience working in federal politics. He will report to Conal Hanna, who joined Streem in early 2019 and now moves into a new expanded role of corporate affairs lead. Clemenger Group post healthy profits in 2020 amidst staff complaints May 11, 2021 11:32 A group of “disheartened and angry” employees at Clemenger Group have reached out to Mumbrella to share their frustration at the management of the Omnicom subsidiary. According to Clemenger Group’s financial report for 2020, which Mumbrella has seen, the group made a net profit of $50.506 million in 2020, only a slight drop on the 2019 result of $50.786 million. This is despite the business reporting a drop in revenues of $50.8 million from $371.7 million in 2019 down to $320.8 million for the year. The financial results show that the business slashed staff costs by $24.5 million in 2020, in addition to receiving government subsidies in Australia and New Zealand. The cost savings are attributed to job cuts and wage reductions according to Clemenger Group executive chairman, Robert Morgan.

May 10, 2021 10:00 The new brand campaign from Allianz Australia is more than just a fresh piece of work for the 100+ year old insurer, it is the foundations of a deep partnership between Allianz Australia and new agency Howatson+White. “It has been a true partnership,” Allianz Australia, general manager marketing, Sophie Finn told Mumbrella. “Ant and Chris have been hands-on all the way through this and it has been an absolute collaborative team effort.” Allianz was revealed as the foundation client for Chris Howatson and Ant White’s eponymous creative agency, Howatson+White, in March, just a few months after the pair departed CHE Proximity to launch their own offering. The agency was appointed with a full-service remit, working across Allianz’s marketing including creative, PR, CRM, shopper and digital.
