Behind the wheel. Authorities say he slammed into the patrol car. Officers were trying to pull this car over after they ran the plates but the driver was desperate to get away. Officers initiated the stop. The subject attempted to flee by driving around a stopped vehicle at the intersection. Reporter the officer who fired last night was standing just outside of his patrol car and investigators say the teen driver sped right toward him. The subject drove directly at that officer, striking his car. Reporter thats when the officer fired into the moving car, hitting the boy once. He was rushed to the hospital with critical injuries.
