Weekend is meteorologist lisa argen. Lisa, are we talking a little rain or just a little rain . Not everyones going to see it, but itll bring much better air quality. But were going to get into the better air quality as soon as tomorrow. Another spare the air alert today is lingering haze and smoke will be with us this saturday. Weve got some rain clouds to the south in Southern California and that cold front on the way to the north. So today, well call it partly cloudy. We have the air quality that is just not what were used to. Right. But, you know, its been a little bit better into the afternoon. But still covered in blue here. That means that were going to have hazy conditions all throughout the day. Sea breeze is going to be with us. So well continue to see and feel that which could improve at some point, allowing for some better air quality in spots. Those hazy skies this week. Is it looking better today . Yeah we were talking about the worst day being tuesday and each day after that, certainly hazy, but not as bad. And were in that realm again today as we have another spare the air alert. The cold front is on the way, though, for monday. That will really help us out. But between now and then, were going to see some improvements slowly, certainly as we get into your sunday live doppler seven, partly cloudy skies. This was a look at our sutro tower camera. You can see the haze there. Poor air quality north bay coast and central bay with moderate air quality elsewhere. Everyone improves tomorrow and it is 56. Downtown, 57 in Mountain View, half moon bay. And well be looking at some haze with partly cloudy conditions today to mostly sunny 55 in concord. But temperatures remain below average, mainly in the upper 60s from San Francisco, mid 70s and oakland and inland. Well see some upper 70s, but tomorrow well see some big improvements
Are expecting some big changes. We still have a spare the air alert that is lingered day after day due to the hazy conditions. The north winds still not totally shut off. So were looking at some of that smoke from the north still being brought into the bay area. But look at that. Weve got a cold front that is going to clean everything out, bring fire ending rain to extreme Northern California. So some really good news there. Heres a look at live doppler seven moderate air quality right now. That means were in the yellow and well look for these hazy conditions. This is a 24 hour loop that shows the blue indicating, yeah, were going to have some of that high elevation smoke. But by the time we get to the second half of our weekend skies will be much clearer. So poor air quality, mainly north bay, the coast and central bay. Then everyone gets into the good air quality. Tomorrow it is 59 in oakland, 57 in fremont. Gear and rolled in the masters film program at sf state and started taking Video Production jobs, including one in oakland two weeks ago. So ive just been driving through downtown and i was like, isnt oakland beautiful . Like, i love oakland. Justin thought he had done enough to hide the gear in the trunk of his rented tesla while he had lunch on broadway. Just across from the ymca. But when he came out to find this window, shattered his camera lenses and drone gone in. Justin had just bought the gear and hadnt had time to insure it. I like literally felt like the pit of my stomach drop. I knew that the equipment wasnt insured and so to have it gone so soon after, like buying it just was devastating. Usually in these cases, its smash grab and gone. You have little chance of retrieving your property. But justin had hidden tracking devices inside his gear.
