Were able to track that on our mobile radar and some of the rain still north. Weve seen some spotty showers moving out ahead of that. If youre traveling down crossing the Golden Gate Bridge heavy rain there. Were going to see some of the heaviest rain moving through later this morning. As we take it hour by hour that rain approaching San Francisco moving into oakland and then the trivalley around 9 00 to 10 00 this morning and it will be approaching san jose. Also whats happening in the sierra in seven minutes. Ive been looking at your radar. Bringing us surface level traffic sorry, air traffic. Surface level radar. First meteorologist kari hall has been tracking the fire dangers in our area as well as some of those controlled Power Outages. The controlled Power Outages, the high heat, low humidity, were all the things that were watching this morning and well have to start out with some mild temperatures as you get ready to head out the door. We have some upper 60s in the trivalley, all clear skies. We also have some unhealthy air quality in the inland east bay as well as the south bay, and we want to make sure were trying to do our part in reducing the ozone emissions and Carbon Emissions as well. Our temperatures today in dublin will reach the low 90s by early afternoon. Well continue to go up from there, reaching the triple digits again today in many of our inland spots. Evacuation orders still in place through the outer banks. Officials say just dont risk it. Hurricane dorian turning its fury on florida. Already knocking out power to thousands. In the bahamas were getting our first look at the scope of the disaster and utter destruction dorian caused. After stalling, spinning over these islands for more than 48 hous. Were going to continue that trend, waking up to some partly cloudy conditions for most of us around the bay. But the clear sky inland and the south bay, there has been a little bit of patchy fog in the north bay and more fog along the coast. Say they can see Police Officers up on top of the overpass over willow. Pass road talking to someone there. This has been going on for a couple of hours now. So theyre working to resolve the situation, but its definitely causing a backup on some of the surface streets. And then as you mentioned, some lanes of northbound 2, 4, 2, or close down, the southbound lanes are still open. The northbound lanes are closed. Thats pushing traffic on 2 nearby 6. 80, causing a backup there. The backups not quite as bad as it was a little earlier. I think a lot of people got around this. Theyre probably on their way to work this morning. So rush hour has let up a little bit. But its still causing a significant backup. We have no eta on when theyre going to finish, you know, working on this. Going to talk to this person until they can get this result safely. So were going to stay here.
