The deep depression will continue to move north-northeastwards at a speed of 17 kmph and is expected to make landfall between Khepupara and Mongla in Bangladesh on Saturday morning, the IMD said.
The rain God has been very generous for Northeast India for the last week or so. We expect on-and-off light to moderate rain with one or two heavy spoils to continue over most parts of Northeast India.
Tripura and Mizoram along with Meghalaya will be the ones seeing the most rain in the next few days, for about one week. No damaging effect expected but continuous rains may give rise to landslides etc. due to the terrain.
Tripura and Mizoram will be the worst sufferers with the possibility of landslides and even waterlogging in a few areas. Due to the mountaneous terrain and the complex topograhy, the difficulty level as it is increases
