The cyclone in the Arabian Sea is delaying the onset of monsoon over mainland India and stormy activity over the Western Pacific is clogging the streamlined flow of moist winds over BoB
On the other side of the coast, a strong system is over the Arabian Sea. It will suppress any favourable winds going towards the Bay and may not allow it to become even a Low Pressure Area.
Severe weather activity lasting for 3-4 days also comes with disruption in communication and connectivity. Landslides, mudslides and rolling stones over vulnerable routes may derange traffic flow. Weather conditions will improve from 28th May onward and get limited to only higher reaches.
Tripura and Mizoram will be the worst sufferers with the possibility of landslides and even waterlogging in a few areas. Due to the mountaneous terrain and the complex topograhy, the difficulty level as it is increases
Cyclone Mocha will track northeastward towards Arakan Coast. It is likely to cross the coast between Cox's Bazar (Bangladesh) and Kyaukpyu (Myanmar) tomorrow around noon hours.
