Delhi has seen excessive heat in March and April. In fact, record number of heat wave days were seen in Delhi. Some parts saw heat wave conditions even for more than 15 days, Safdarjung has seen 10 days of heat wave in April.
However, as far as parts of Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh are concerned, maximum temperatures have started to settle above the normal levels over these areas. Thus, heat wave conditions are set to make a comeback over these areas.
Northeast India is all set to see a rainy week ahead with rainfall activity of varying intensity. States of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Manipur, Tripura and Nagaland will be seeing good rainfall.
Starting today, states of Kerala, South Interior Karnataka, and parts of Tamil Nadu are expected to see some rains. The city of Bengaluru will also witness good rains during this period. The city has already seen heavy showers in the past and more rains are expected today as well along with the next few days.
Today, rains are expected to be seen over Delhi and adjoining areas as well. States of Punjab, Haryana and some areas of Rajasthan. Tomorrow, these Pre monsoon activities may see a reduction but some parts will expect to see a few thunderstorm and rainfall spells.
