Temperatures are settling below normal in their mid 30s. Moreover, marginal rise is expected in the next five days. Maximums can settle around 40 degrees in some parts after June 8. Moreover, we can expect heat to build up thereafter in almost entire North India due to absence of any weather system.
Thereafter, there is likely to be a break in between thereafter. Temperatures have dipped a little due to this activity, but we can expect that the temperatures may rise and once again be in the 40s.
The upcoming activity will not change the temperature profile, light rain, thunderstorm and thundetrshowers may give relief from the obscured conditions but will take 48 hours.
Therefore, we expect mild dust storm and thunderstorm during the next 2 to 3 days over Northwest India including Delhi. But we do not expect any significant relief. Temperatures are expected to remain 40 degrees or more over all these areas for the next many days.
Rise in temperatures by about three to four degrees during the next few days. Western parts of Rajasthan have already seen a rise in temperatures. Heat wave conditions are still not likely in the next four to five days.
