And when we examine the situation in Alameda County, we find that one in five residents experience or are at risk of hunger. In fact, about 119,000 are considered food insecure, and an addition 130,000 are marginally food secure. Addressing the need is a daunting task, and that is taken on by the Alameda County Community Food bank. And especially looking at the connection with homelessness, but if somebody is trying to get help for a Mental Health condition or for substance use, but they are not given housing, it is nearly impossible to maintain that. Reporter the Commission Says pawlik, who was homeless, did not pose a threat at the time he was shot. They said that their view of the enhanced version of the video shows that mr. Pawlik did not point the gun at the officers. Dr. Frank mcgrady is among 4 officers to be fired. The report says he took part in the shooting instead of supervising officers. Also facing termination is a fifth officer who fired a beanbag gun. The Commission Recommended he be demoted to sergeant. In a statement, Sergeant Benny Barry Donnellan says the commissions decision is obviously born through a desperate political driven need to prosecute Police Officers regardless.
