And various communities, including Alameda County, san ramon, and Silicon Valley, talking to those trying to do something about hunger. And when we examine the situation in Alameda County, we find that one in five residents experience or are at risk of hunger. In fact, about 119,000 are considered food insecure, and an addition 130,000 are marginally food secure. Addressing the need is a daunting task, and that is taken on by the Alameda County Community Food bank.
