Well, we are starting out with two red flag warnings that will be in effect and watching conditions around both of those for this morning as we start out with this last day of heat for today. Were talking about highs reaching into the upper 80s. Well have two time frames were watching the potential of a high fire danger but it will be a much cooler weekend as we check out our temperatures and as well as the high wind gusts weve seen over the past 24 hours. Weve seen some of those gusts yesterday afternoon picking up to 28 miles an hour in the east bay. As we head out the door to work, mike, how is it looking for the commute . This is the last image captured in the Santa Cruz Mountains shortly before midnight before flames overtook this camera. We know this fire is spreading rapidly across the Santa Cruz Mountains, as well as the rest of the bay area as weve seen some very warm weather. Lets take you to the north bay. Several fires burning here and temperatures this morning mostly in the 70s. The humidity is coming up just a little bit but look at the gamble fire. Humidity levels only at 21 . Very dry. So that causes those fires to spread more quickly. As we head to the Santa Cruz Mountains, we had a lot of smoke coming into the south bay and our Current Conditions, our temperatures in the upper 70s.
