Helena receiving heavy rainfall now moving out toward fairfield and vacaville. Looking to the south a few heavier showers around richmond and belvedere, a few light showers around San Francisco and hayward and alameda. Tomorrow morning. Thats 1 1 2 to three inches of rain probably more than that and then as we look at the rainfall forecast numbers, these are conservative numbers. Im expecting more rain in the hills than we have forecast. Rain so far has been relatively light, but thats going to change overnight. It means the morning commute is going to have a lot of water on the roadways. This is an Atmospheric River coming from the Hawaiian Islands and its focused on us here it goes. Theres the Hawaiian Islands. You see it right up into here and over the next 12 to 24 hours, about 36 hours, well see heavy rain especially in the coastal hills. So thats the overview. And he says the shooter looked very upset and especially frustrated when he couldnt get into the locked doors of the school classrooms. He tells us it was only 8 to 15 seconds between the time the lockdown was complete and the time neal arrived on the quad where students previously were. You can see the bullet holes through here. Reporter the maintenance supervisor wasnt here for the shooting but shows ktvu where Kevin Janson Neal took aim at four classrooms and school office. He said 80 children were playing in the quad Tuesday Morning when the school went into lockdown and the entire staff went into action including the janitor. Custodian, who is 64, 270 pounds, he took off, get into the classrooms, get into the classrooms and so at that point, he was able to get everyone inside so there was no one left on the blacktop. The past hour or so getting more and more intense. It looks like downtown San Francisco, marina district, its soak outing there. A lot of it moved further east, danville, moraga, orinda, heavy rain, oakland as well saw 1. 5 of rain so far overnight into these earlymorning hours. So the rain right now is probably the most intense especially across the south. We go to fremont there. You can see about a half inch to threequarters inch of rain per hour there. Just going to stay this way for the next couple of hours until noon. Well see continued rainfall across the south and then well see rain totals increase over the next few hours. Then scattered showers this afternoon. A lot of moisture coming in off the water and moving towards the land and thats why we are seeing intense numbers. To the north bay now, its calmed down a lot for st. Helena, santa rosa, you know, not seeing intense rainfall. Over 3 inches for venado. Santa rosa 1. 9 inches. This is totals so far. For napa. Venado got over 3 inches of rain. So the wider view here on our hidef doppler now showing you San Francisco is getting most of the rain, highway 101, a little calmer for the south bay. But as i push in close, san rafael, mill valley, lagunitas, youre seeing a lot. Tiburon is next, as well. Same with richmond as the system moves east. San bruno, san mateo, look at the strong amounts of rain coming down right off of interstate 280. So its going to be slick on all roads. The totals will go up throughout the morning. For the next couple of hours at least, things are not going to wind down. Later on this afternoon they will wind down. Well see most of this system move south so Santa Cruz Mountains will get a lot of rain today. Well continue to track this all morning long.
