we were talking, why can t call of the congressman say i ll cut x amount of dollars out of my budget and we can balance the budget or pay off our debt. if every congressman would cut a little out of the money they spent for their area, then we could have a compromise. dave: and is this ainsley s debt ceiling budget cut. ainsley: the problem is the republicans want it cap and cut and the prem is all the republicans are saying don t cut from my district. don t reach into my piggy bank, my voters are going to get angry. if all voters agree they can cut a little bit. it s a compromise for everyone and we don t have to raise taxes. dave: you know who harry reid is blaming, the senate majority lead are blaming republicans. i m disappoint that had republicans aren t able to work with us, a headache a historic step forward and dramatically redouse our long-term debt and a balanced approach that would have required shared sacrifice that they would not get. and that s the question you d
it was so fluorescent and bright and i couldn t stand it. it hurt my eyes, i think i bought the wrong ones, right? i don t know. dave: i don t know a whole lot about it, but for one thing for americans, are they forced to buy them or choose which one is energy efficient and affordable and bet are deal for their family? joe barden of texas has a bill that will allow you to choose and not be forced to buy a particular light bulb. joe barden, a texas congressman had enough of this and he says it s about more than energy consumption, it s about personal freedom. ainsley: well, and governor rick perry of texas he signs an agreement saying if the bulbs are made and sold in texas then we are exempt from federal regulation and you can buy whatever you want in texas as long as they re made and sold in texas they can sell whatever see if the country does with the texans are doing. ainsley: they say uh-uh,

joe barden. this is your sixth district, right? it s brisk out here. it is. first off, are you going to raise the debt limit? it depends on what spending reductions and budget reforms they put with it. if they do that, yes. if not, people like me are going to say no. what you re going to do is you re looking to give everyone at home an idea of what you think we should be cutting. unfortunately, have to cut. with the exception of some of the essential defense items, i don t think there s anything that shouldn t be at least reviewed and subject to cuts and that includes the entitlement program. john boehner essentially said we re not going to stop and shut down the government. does that hurt your hand at all? well, you know, as he said, we want to cut the credit cards up. the debt ceiling is something that we can tell the treasury department and the president, you know, pay interest on the debt. pay things that have to be paid but some of these other things, let s defer unt
