Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Godswill Akpabio and his wife, Mrs Ekaete Akpabio, have threatened to sue an investigative journalist, David Hundeyin, for linking them with the killers of an Akwa Ibom job seeker, Iniobong Umoren.
The PUNCH had earlier reported that Umoren went missing while attending a job interview in Akwa Ibom last month. Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Odiko Macdon, later in a statement, said the police arrested 20-year-old Uduak Frank Akpan, who allegedly lured Umoren to his residence under the pretext of offering her a job but raped, killed and buried the young graduate in a shallow grave.

Akpan is the suspected killer of Iniobong, a job seeker in Akwa Ibom State.
He was interrogated by several journalists today and admitted he murdered the deceased by hitting her with a stabilizer.
However, Ogunlesi was angry with some of the questions the suspect was asked.
He tweeted: “A Nigerian ‘journalist’ asking a man accused of sexually assaulting and murdering a woman he was meeting for the first time (by luring her to an isolated location) “Were you in love with the girl?”
“Sickening. Who are these people???!”
The remains of Iniobong Umoren were on Friday buried in her hometown, Nung Ita in Oruk Anam Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State.
Ms Umoren, an orphan and 26-year-old graduate of Philosophy from the University of Uyo, was murdered while seeking employment in Uyo.
The police have arrested a suspect, Uduak Akpan, who confessed to the crime, although he claims it was in self-defence.
Ms Umoren was also physically and sexually assaulted, the Akwa Ibom police have said.
Mr Akpan had invited Ms Umoren for a job interview at Airport Road, Ibiaku junction on April 29 where he apparently carried out the atrocities.

Uduak Akpan, the suspected killer of Iniubong Umoren, a job-seeker from Akwa Ibom, on Friday during a parade by the police, owned up to the crime.
Mr Akpan, who lured the 26-year-old graduate of University of Uyo (UNIUYO) with a fake job interview on April 29, killed her and buried her remains in a shallow grave in his father’s compound.
Ms Umoren was confirmed dead on April 30 and buried on Friday at her hometown, Nung Ita, Ikot Essien in Oruk Anam Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State.
