The annual Downtown Holiday Parade featured 74 different groups, bands and performers of all types and brought thousands of Santa Cruz County residents and visitors from around the Bay Area.
"I am proud that Cabrillo College is an integral part of the Regional K-16 Education Collaborative grant,” said Matt Wetstein, Cabrillo's president/superintendent. "The state’s investment in the collaborative will result in robust, K-16 pathways that lead students to high-skill, high-wage, and high-demand regional employment that boosts the economic viability of our region."
The Second Harvest Food Bank launched its annual Holiday Food and Fund Drive at Cabrillo College on a sunny Friday afternoon with speeches from Second Harvest CEO Erica Padilla-Chavez, co-chairs of the fundraiser, longtime supporters and a short Zumba class to get community members pumped up to raise money for those in need this holiday season.
