Aptos High students complete construction of tiny home

Students, district officials and project funders celebrated the completion of a 20-foot by 8-foot tiny home with a ceremony Monday. Constructed by approximately 200 students, the house features a bedroom with an overhead fan, bathroom with a shower and a kitchen with a stove and miniature refrigerator.

Memorial Day surf ceremony brings veterans to Capitola Beach

Museum of Art & History exhibit highlights Filipino American stories

The stories of Filipino Americans who made their homes in the Pajaro Valley in the early 20th century, and the challenges they faced, are not commonly taught in U.S. history courses, but their stories are currently on display at the Santa Cruz Museum of Art & History through Aug. 4.
