STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. A city plan to add elevators and other station access to the Staten Island Railway will be discussed on Wednesday, April 14, during a public virtual meeting of a Community Board 3 committee.
The Land Use Committee will hear from representatives of the city Department of City Planning (DCP) and the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) during the 7 p.m. meeting. STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. Community Board 2 will hold a land use public hearing on Tuesday, April 6, to address the removal of trees on vacant land in Emerson Hill.
At issue is the removal of five trees to accommodate the construction of a two-story, detached single-family residence at 214 and 262 Shields Place.
