The global race to find a vaccine appears to have one company out in front. A bostonarea company saying its seen promising results from its first test on humans. Keep in mind, though, there are more than 100 Companies Working on a cure, including several, janelle, here in the bay area. Helping those people stranded in the floodwaters along the Russian River. Jodi hernandez joins us. That river is moving fast. Whats happening there tonight . Reporter its been one wild ride for folks who live here. The river is at its highest level, can you see what thats bhent for people who live here. Youre looking at a peewee golf and arcade. A business that is six feet underwater. Weve seen seens like this all over town, folks here are just doing their very best to get through it. Sections of river road can only be navigated by boat today. The river has come close to cresting, some people woke up to find their homes sur rounded by water. I literally floated out from my backyard, out to river road. My basement and garage got flooded. I figures id take the kayak for a little run and i dont get to do this often. Its been more than a decade since people have seen flooding like this. Neighbors are pulling together. Most have been through it before. Were all making the most of it. Those
Periods of off and on showers. If you notice right now, those temperatures about 40s in the south bay, 50s for the peninsula and the trivalley and still seeing a lot of dark cloudy skies. So, if you have seen those breaks of sunshine, especially out near San Francisco, in you can expect to see the rain move faster as it move further south. A cool down in the temperatures, tonight we could be dropping to the lower 30s for areas in the valley. Taking a quick look at satellite radar, we are still seeing spotty showers offshore. As i mentioned over the next couple of hours, if we take a closer look and zoom in, we are expecting that majority of that rainfall to move out by about 11 30, fast forward to 1 00.
