Rain showers around the mill valley area back into the Golden Gate Bridge. Look at that. That is where when you see the completely highlighted yellow area, where we have a flood watch in effect for today through tonight. That means walking out the door getting the kids off to school you will be experiencing someponding and throughout the urban areas and small stream possibility of flooding rock and mud sloyd threat but you see red highlighted area thats where flooding is eminent and throughout the north bay. You note areas around sonoma highway 37. You note spots throughout the santa know the spots throughout the Santa Clara Valley and this is the scene towards the Golden Gate Bridge wb where we have wet pavement light precipitation falling out there. Look carefully and closely at the lights and you can see light rain. Temperatures are in the 40s to santa rosa to 47. San francisco and redwood city but cold enough to be snowing in the Mount Hamilton area. Thats whats going on right now.

Automated stations in Higher Elevations are reporting gusts in the 5060 mph range still, however, all of these wind speeds are expected to lessen within the next few hours. Radar also indicates that rainfall is less extensive across the region, although shower activity is expected to persist on and off through the evening. The upper level low and associated surface low pressure centers continue to deepen off of the california coast. This system is on track to move inland across the San Francisco bay area by early evening. Winds will diminish as the surface low shifts inland this afternoon evening. As lingering moisture remains in place, scattered showers will remain possible through tonight and into saturday morning. Toss to weather and traffic. The cold frontal rain band is now moving southeastward through monterey county, with locally gusty winds and scattered showers left in its wake. Flooding remains a concern as water continues to flow down the slopes from the recent heavy rains, but will diminish later tonight and tuesday aside from some of the slower to respond mainstem rivers. Showers and winds will gradually taper off over the next 24 hours, with mainly dry though cooler conditions expected for wednesday through friday.
