Renegotiate nafta. Efforts to renegotiate nafta have been going on for over a year now in some form or fashion. This is about Bilateral Agreement between the u. S. And mexico. There have been talks over the last several weeks. We understand according to one u. S. Official the two countries have resolved a major stumbling block that has to do with aub automobiles and steels. It would increase the agreement to use north American Steel and how much of an automobile must be produced locally to qualify for zero tariffs. Nafta is a deal is a treaty between three countries, not just two. The idea here is that canada might rejoin the talks. These talks have been contentious at times.
