DURHAM, N.C - The Florida State track and field team put together great performances on both the track and the field on day two of the ACC Outdoor Championships in Durham, N.C. The men are on top of the team standings with 50 points while the women are in eighth with 24 points. I'm really pleased with how we are performing so far. We are just feeding off each other in each event, Head Coach Bob Braman said. We had a great day of qualifying. We've put ourselves in really good position for tomorrow, and I couldn't be more pleased. Riley Ott kicked things off on Friday with a gutsy performance in the decathlon. Ott posted personal bests in the 110m hurdles (15.44), the discus throw (32.14m), the javelin throw (51.05m) and the 1500m run (4:40.21) in route to a personal best score of 7105 points to earn him third. GREENSBORO, N.C. - Adriaan Wildschutt picked up his first ACC Men's Track Performer of the Week honor of the outdoor season the Atlantic Coast Conference announced Tuesday afternoon.
"Adriaan ran a spectacular race out at Stanford. It's not too often you get the chance to call yourself the NCAA leader in an event, and he has set himself up well for the postseason," Head Coach Bob Braman said.
Wildschutt broke the ACC record and the school record in the 10,000m run late Friday night at the Payton Jordan Invitational in Stanford, Calif. Wildschutt's time of 27:38.54 is the fastest time in the NCAA this season and puts him No. 12 on the NCAA all-time list.
Wildschutt and the rest of the Florida State track and field team will be in action May 12-14 at the ACC Outdoor Championships in Durham, N.C.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Florida State track and field team picked up two victories on a windy day at Hodges Stadium on the campus of North Florida. Jeremiah Davis was the highlight for the Noles. Davis won the long jump with a mark of 7.98m, just 0.01m off his personal best which he set indoors in the 2021 season. Davis bettered his outdoor personal best after going 7.92m at the Tom Jones Memorial two weeks ago. The Noles dominated the long jump event taking three out of the four spots. Jacore Irving finished third with a mark of 7.73m while Isaac Grimes finished right behind him in fourth with a mark of 7.74m. Sam Field picked up his second victory of the season in the 1500m run. Field took the lead in the last 100 meters and clocked in at 3:46.47 for the win. Humberto Freire (3:48.69) finished fourth while Jacob Holmes finished (3:50.41). CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. - The FSU track and field team had a productive day one at the Virginia Challenge, as six distance runners posted FSU all-time top ten performances Saturday night in Charlottesville, Va. I'm really pleased with our performances today, Head Coach Bob Braman said. We always want to lock in a time for regionals, and we did that today along with several FSU top ten performances. Matthew Owens was the first of six Noles to post a top ten performance Saturday night. Owens clocked a personal best time of 8:51.40 in the 3000m steeplechase. Owen moved to No. 5 on the FSU all-time list just two weeks after his previous personal best at the Florida Relays. Amanda Beach is quietly having a very productive season for the Noles. TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Ruby Stauber and Trey Cunningham each picked up their first ACC Performer of the Week honors of the outdoor season. Stauber took home the ACC Women's Track Performer of the Week while Cunningham earned ACC Co-Men's Track Performer of the Week. Trey put together one of the top season-opening times in collegiate history on Saturday, and he continues to improve every time he takes the track, Head Coach Bob Braman said. Ruby has been a model of consistency throughout the indoor and outdoor season. She lost a chance to run a fast time at the Florida Relays, but she came back and put together one of her best times of her career this past weekend. In her first season with the Noles, Stauber has made an immediate impact. This past weekend, Stauber took fourth in the 800m run with a time of 2:03.54 at the Tom Jones Memorial.
