B.C. Wildlife Park raising money by auctioning off items made by bears | iNFOnews

Image Credit: FACEBOOK / BC Wildlife Park December 24, 2020 - 6:30 AM Kamloops s B.C. Wildlife Park is hosting a fundraiser auction with items individually crafted by their resident bears. The nature inspired, decorative wall hooks are made from the wood found in the Kermode, grizzly and black bears s enclosures.  The bears will use their claws and teeth to tear apart logs and tree stumps in search of insects and other food items, leaving behind some interestingly shaped pieces.  Those pieces were collected and fashioned by zookeeper Dannielle into rustic wall decor. The sealed auction will run for the duration of the winter break, and a winner will be contacted, Jan. 4. All proceeds from the auction will go towards new rehabilitation pens for the Fawcett Family Wildlife Health Centre.
