general rate leads. breaking news just in. capitol police announcing they concluded and recommending action against six officers mostly for conduct unbecoming. joining me now law enforcement analyst jim kavanaugh. how concerned should we be that authorities have yet to identify the pipe bombing suspect? we should be concerned because the authorities are concerned. feb, atf, the capitol police, d.c. police. they released that information this week. the bomber could be emboldened that they weren t caught and don t know if that bomber is just a delivery person or the actual bombmaker. the bombs did not detonate so they might have had some problems in the fusing and firing system. we don t know if this is a man or a woman. if they acted alone or in concert but we do know they
bombs were viable devices, that could have detonated, causing innocent bystanders to be seriously injured or killed. your tip could be the one that prevents this person from harming others. again, the fbi field office releasing this new plea to the public, this new video, this animated map showing what they believe to be the walking path of the bomber that night, trying to find the bombmaker who laid active pipe bombs at the democratic and republican headquarters the night before the january 6th attack on the capitol. i mentioned that was a lot of detail about the shoes that the person was wearing and that they can see in this various surveillance footage they ve got. they have also released a number of different closeup detail photos of the type of sneakers the person was wearing. first on the left they are showing the person wearing them. and then on the right showing what they believe are those sneakers in a clearer image with those arrows identifying sort of distinctive marks on th
the weaponry used today to kill people. unfortunately on the i.e.d. side as we look at terrorist attacks and other incidents around the world, a lot of this information isn t sophisticated that you have to be a skilled bombmaker to put something together. unfortunately a lot of this garbage is on the internet and they can put together ingredients and maim and take lives. what was the level. sophistication and was there anyone that assisted. we talked earlier about someone who wakes up and decide to act on a grievance. that s very difficult to stop. but when you have someone who has gone through this meticulous planning and plotting, that s all part of building out this picture. was there someone who maybe saw something or should have seen something that can provide that information. all law enforcement wants to know right now is what was the
