Freeman was recognized then, and probably still is, as our foremost historian of the civil war. He wrote a great biography of general washington and general lee and of course lees lieutenants. All i heard was ahh, because she didnt to have get out of her pajamas and maybe you do not either but if you do, this is the the situation out there. Refreeze overnight, of everything that melted yesterday, or almost everything and we call that black ice because the ice reflects usually the pavement underneath it or the blacktop of the roads, so temperatures, many of them, falling to the teens and 20s overnight, and so the pavement appears to be shiny and it appears wet, but it is slippery. Road, shoulders, steps, sidewalks are probably your biggest hazards this morning as you go outside. A young mother of thr headed out to a party on halloween,e home. Her death now crowded in mystery. That womans name is t toya smith. Shes only 25 years old. Her body was found on saturday after a small fire at an abandoned house in d. C. Tonight her family told our Jackie Bensen they suspect foul play. Jackie . Reporter well, jim, tonight, homicide detectives went to smiths home. She was found dead yesterday under strange circumstances. How did this young mother of three end up dead in an abandoned house in the 2800 block of langston place e has been cordoned off since early sunday morning when someone called 911 to report a fire. Inside they found her dead and called police. Police say the cause of death has not yet been determined by the medical examiner, but homicide detectives came to her mothers house. Madam president , last week the Senate Passed the National Womens History Museum commission act, a bill that i authored with the dean of the Democratic Women senators, senator mikulski of maryland. It passed finally as part of the National Defense authorization act. Our legislation will create a commission to evaluate and plan the establishment of a Museum Dedicated to womens history right here in our Nations Capital, and i know that the presiding officer shares my view that this is long overdue. I am, in fact, pleased to have had all of the women senators as cosponsors of this bill, and im thankful for the support of many of our other colleagues as well. Sen
