And in addition this evening we have to send our prayers and support to all of the families affected by hurricane helene. This has been worst hurricane response by a president and vice president since katrina and this is simply not acceptable. Those people i was there yesterday with north carolina and georgia and i'll tell you by the way the governor of georgia is doing an excellent job. Excellent job. But we have other people that aren't doing a good job and we have to question of to have them do a good job. But the federal government is doing a very bad job. They are not doing the job and we have we have death and destruction that we haven't seen maybe ever. It's a real bad one they have to get people there. Because they don't have people there. They don't have the people kamala wined and dined in san francisco. And all of the people in north carolina no helicopters, no rescue. It's just what is happened there is very bad. They're offering them $750 to people whose homes have been washed away. And yet we send tens of billions of dollars to foreign countries that most people have never heard of. They're offering them $750. They've been destroyed these people have been destroyed. The one young lady washed you saw that with her son. I mean pretty i wish i never saw it. But just washed away your son was washed away with a grandparents. And so sad and they are giving them $750. And think of it. We give foreign countries hundreds of billions of dollars and we are handing north carolina $750. If you want a president who won't even try to save you when the flood waters are rising, vote for kamala she's not the right person. Look, you know what, if they were if they did a good job i wouldn't have run i didn't need to do this. I didn't need to. If i thought they were doing a modestly good job i wouldn't have run but i saw grossly incompetent and i decided to run and we're doing really well. I was telling you about polls we're way up and some polls we're up and other polls. And with the swing states i think most of them have us up in every single swing state including the great commonwealth of a place called pennsylvania. [applause] and don't ever not call it a commonwealth because i've seen people call it a state and that's the end of them. That's practically the end of their political career. You've got to be very careful with pennsylvania. It's that commonwealth i haven't made that mistake i don't to either. As it was in the a pretty picture. If you want a president who will stop at nothing to protect you and your family, i hope you going vote for a gentlemen named donald j. Trump have you heard of him? together we will rebuild western north carolina. Rural georgia and every other state that's been so badly affected that includes alabama, virginia was very hit hard. South carolina was hit very hard, florida so many states, tennessee was hit really hard. They were all hit we're going to work with them and you know the next president is going to be the one that really once, they get this done once that happens next president will be the one that has to really help them and jd will be there to help them. I know that. 2024 is the most important election in the history of our country. And here are the facts my opponent kamala harris, is the most incompetent far left nominee ever to run for president. You know, she's much further left than crazy bernie sanders. You know that? she wants to open borders took the most secure border in american history and turned it into the worst border and she was the border czar after three years but whether or not she was in charge of the border. And the other day i saw her get up and say we will do this. We will do that. Why didn't they do it four years ago? why didn't they in damage is so bad and so it's been done. She let in 21 illegal aliens all over the world from prison and jails and mental institutions. And insane asylum and terrorists at record levels at levels we've never seen before. She cost you $29,000 of family through inflation price hikes now wants larger tax hike to go largest tax hike in american history. There's never been a tax hike like what she's proposing. She's going raise your taxes a minimum of 3,000 dollars. She's a big taxer. And she was the original creator of defund the police. I think for all of the sheriffs over here if you're a partner in defund police for even two days you cannot be president. But she was one of the founders of defund the police and she still believes that by the way. I don't know how anybody could. But she still believes it if she ever had a chance there's a good possibility she would go back to it. Can you imagine somebody is robbing our house well there's nothing we can do about it. That's what they say there's nothing. You know they tried it. You know where they tried it in minnesota with our vice president. And that wasn't working out too well. It was working out very well for the robbers criminals that's what it was working out well for kamala harris vowed to abolish i. C. E. And wants citizenship for illegals worst of all she lost and this is maybe worst thing in the whole nobody talks fake news won't mention it and lost 325,000 migrant children that are now dead in slavery or just plain missing probably never to be seen again. Never to see their parents again. But this isn't like this is 325,000. Have been lost she prays the idea of a 70% to an 80% tax rate and imposed a natural gas export ban on pennsylvania which is killing your energy workers and your pricing you know you have one of the highest energy costs in the country and yets you're sitting on top of a massive amount of energy she doesn't want to get. It's been a disaster for your state and now she's vowed repeatedly now all of a sudden she changed your mind but when you know with politicians it is always the first statement that comes out to be the one they want so she spent 14 years knocking fracking we're never going to have fracking never going to she said i love fracking very much she'll go back to and endorsed free sex changes for illegal aliens in detention at taxpayer expense. I don't think elon likes that idea these are not ideas that elon musk likes too much. And it was just announced yesterday in california and he thook one from me. I so upset but think of it that the far less than average governor gavin new scum banning from registering to vote you're not allowed to mention the fact elon you're not allowed to mention the fact you can't say may i see your id. If you do it is a criminal act. This is like this is a takeover of the country. You're not allowed to ask for an id. If you do it is a criminal count. Other democrats states are following this is only so they can cheat. There's only one thing that you do this for. So that you can cheat on elections. There's no other conceivable reason. Kamala harris is a radical left marxist she's a woman that's not respected in congress. She was laughed at at congress nobody thought she could win you know they did a cue whether you like them or not i'm not a particularly big fan. But we had a debate. And the debate ended and all of a sudden they come to him and they say we want you out you're not going to win the election. And he said i don't to get out he got 14 million votes if you believe in democracy or a system. He got 14 million votes. And she got none. She was the first one out. 22 candidates, and she never made it to iowa. She quit before iowa and now she's running. And that's okay. But you know, we spent 150 million beating biden as soon as he was down, and out for the count, they said let's take him out and give somebody else the run never happened before. We do a lot of firsts we'll tell you we do a lot of firsts but she's a person that rated worst in every statistic than any other senator. She was rated at the bomb of the u. S. Senate she's destroyed everything. She touched but the good news is that we have a plan to fix it. We're going fix it and fix it fast. Nobody is going to stand for open borders. Nobody is going to stand for a bad military. Nobody is going to stand for education that's not proper. We're moving education back to the states. You're going to be running your own education. [applause] so we have, you know, an education so important as what's more important than education but we rank at the bottom of every list rank four major countries we're at the bottom but we're at the top for cost for pupil per student than any other country than anywhere in the world. So we're number one in that and we're number 38, 39 or 40 every single time. And you have denmark, you have sweden you have norway. You have china. Always a top five can you believe it? china is a top five that's amazing. But we're going to move our education back to the states. So places like indiana, and iowa, and idaho, and states that you don't even hear too much of it because they're so good and so well run. They're going to run their own education and you know what's going to come out of that a denmark, a norway, a sweden maybe i don't know, china. Can you imagine china with 1. 4 billion people as a top five and we're in close to 40. We are 40 sometimes. Starting on day one i will seal the border stop migrant invasion into our country. We will begin the largest deportation operation in the history of the united states dwight eisenhower right now has that record. And by the way it is not something i want to do. I dread having to do it but we have no choice. What they've done to our country is not even believable. Especially the criminals the criminal element that's in our country and again all over the world crime rates are down because they've taken criminals and dumped them into the united states. And you know what i would have been worse than them and i would have faster they dumped them into the united states and it is dangerous out there we're getting them out we're gettings them out quickly and we will defeat inflation and we will make america affordable again and it is going start with liquid gold we have more liquid gold, oil and gas under our feet. Than any nation in the world including saudi arabia and russia. We will become energy independent like we were just four years ago. You know four years ago we were energy independent can you believe it? and then we were going to become energy dominant we will be dominant within a matter of months an we will make so much money. We are going to drill baby drill and we will again open ronald reagan tried to do it. Every single president from before reagan tried to do it and i got it done. Could be larger could be larger than saudi arabia, could be larger than russia. It is in alaska. And i got it done and we work to get it done and one of the first things he did was terminate nwar that was going to take care of all of the asia and make us so much money. We would have paid off debt you would have gotten i gave you the biggest tax reduction in history. You would have gotten even a bigger one. You were going to be just very happy. You were going to say i like that guy very much. 20 million americans are behind on their electric bills right now just announced 20 million americans, they're struggling to pay their monthly bills that are record rate there's never been anything like it all because of their antiu. S. Energy regime which is caused pennsylvania electricity prices to raise almost 50%. We will cut energy and electricity prices in half within 12 months we will have your energy prices your airconditioning heating cars you buy a tesla which is goods. Works good. We will have your energy prices cut in half it will be cut in half within a period of one year from january 20th which is the day we take office. And that's going save you a lot of money and that's going to in turn bring down that's beginning to bring down the prices of everything because you know more than anything else. People tell me about the groceries the groceries are groceries they use what they're talking about is food everything is going to be coming down when we do that also going to got your interest rates way down we will bring automobile manufacturing back to the united states. At levels never seen before. And we will turn the united states into a manufacturing superpower again. Hasn't been there in many, many years. We had it started four years ago. This centerpiece of misplan for a manufacturing renaissance will be a 15% made in america corporate tax rate in other words, if you make your product in the united states, you going to rate so i cut it from 39% to 21% everybody said that was impossible. I got it done and we had the best boom we've ever had and more revenue when we had it at 39 than 29 the following year much more, and then i'm going to take it from 21 to 15. Which will make us the most competitive country in the world. [applause] nobody will be able to compete with us. But that 15 rate only goes for those who make their product in america. They have to make their product here otherwise they pay 21. And we will protect those companies moving into america. And all of our existing companies with stiff tariffs placed on companies that don't move in if they don't come in and make their product here that's fine. But they're going to be tariffed only way they can get out of paying those tariffs is to build their plants and factories in america. We may even be able to get elon to build some of them i think we will. And hire american workers for the job. We're going hire american workers for the job. We will pass the reciprocal trade act if country charges us 100, 200% tax and we will charge them 100 or 200% tax we had a lot of problems on that one with the senate and we're going to get that done. Think of it they charge us and we don't charge them. Now, they charge us we're going to charge them the same thing reciprocal. I will not let mexico, china or any other country sell cars into the united states to the detriment of our autoworkers who will do better than they have ever done. We're going to bring back the car business like it was 50, 60 and 70 years ago everyone will want to be back here. And i will not approve japan buying u. S. Steel 70 years ago greatest company anywhere in the world. It was a greatest company anywhere in the world now we have japan buying u. S. Steel i don't like that and deliver massive tax cuts for works and we'll have a policy that i think is so great. No tax on tips. [applause] no tax on overtime. [applause] and no time on social security for our great seniors. No tax. And you know when you think of it our seniors were hurt so badly inflation has killed our seniors. You know they have a fixed income and just got worse and worse every week every month it's gotten worse and worse and it's just horrible. And they haven't gone down prices only gone up and while working americans catch up we're going to put a temporary cap on the credit card interest rates at 10% people are paying 28% interest. 25% interest. I will always protect social security and medicare with no cuts we're not going to do anything with social security but they're going destroy social security because all of the migrants coming in between medicare, social security, other programs, and nobody is able to afford it. I will settle the war in ukraine. I will end the chaos in the middle east. And i will prevent i promise you world war iii we're not going to have world war iii and right now we're very close to having it. We will lead the world in space exploration thank you elon we will lead the world in military and we will reach mars before the end of my term. Elon promised me he was going to do that. I don't know. Can you do that? stand up can we do that he wants to reach i think he's going to do it. Jd work in him. Work on him. [laughter] work on him. Jd is working on elon. No we're going save it but these people aren't going save it they don't know how to talk, think. Together we will deliver low taxes low regulations, low energy costs, low interest rates and low inflation so that everyone can afford groceries, a beautiful car, and a home. Very basic. Keep critical race theory and transgender keep it the hell out of our school we're going to keep that insanity out of our school and as i said we will keep men out of women's sports. So demeaning to women. You saw that in the olympics female boxing women boxing and a young lady from italy very good boxer very, very good. She was all excited but played a person who transitioned a male transitioned to a female. And the young girl from italy beautiful young woman i'm not allowed to say that anymore political will you but say she was a beautiful young woman if you say that that's the end of your career but it is not. If it is so be it okay we've got to get back to real life but this beautiful young lady is out and she gets a little jab left jab. And she goes back never been hit like that. That is a defensive and goes, corner say you can you can take her. You can so they push her out. Boom, another one and she says that's enough i can't take it i've never seen anything like that so two people that transitioned. Both people shockingly won the gold medal in their divisions. So it's crazy. [booing] and if you look at weight lifting contest they're the best of all. For years and years and years they go they puts an 8th they put an 8th of a pound on one side of the barbell and eighth on the other and can't do it and record standing 18 years they can't do it and then a guy who never lifted before and he puts 100 pounds on and he goes like this, like it is nothing. It is so demeaning to women we're not going to allow it to happen. It is ending. No men playing in women's sports. And we will defend the second amendment protect religious liberty, restore free speech and we will secure our elections. Everyone will prosper, every family will thrive. And every day we'll be filled with opportunity and hope. We need hope. We need the american dream back. Don't we? we're going to have the american dream. And from gettysburg to germantown and to barron hill to right here in butts her, this is the place where pennsylvania patriot poured out their blood with the love of their country. They love their country so much. And so in honor of all of the american hero who is came before us we will press forward and push onward together we will win, win, win you're going win, win, win nothing will sway us. Nothing will slow us. And no one will ever stop us no matter what dangers come our way. No matter what obstacles we must face. We will keep striving toward our magnificent, american future. And welcome back to the big weekend show, i'm kennedy along with tommy bruce david webb and joe concha let's do this. All right former president trump remarks on the bullets that almost took his life and the immigration chart, that saved him. Exactly 12 weeks ago, this evening on this very ground a coldblooded assassin aimed to silence me and to silence greatest movement maga in the history of our country. Maga. We love maga. For 16 seconding during the gunfire time stopped as this vicious monster unleashed pure evil from his snipers perch not so far away. But by the hand of providence and the immigration grace of god that villain did not succeed in his goal. Did not come close. He did not stop our movement. He did not break out our spirit. Kennedy: an extremely well attended rally tammy bruce. Tell me what we saw over the hour naphtha the president spoke a real kind of return to life. Many people were saying that this was like a a part of a healing process. Because you know, you go back and you're able to finish what you started. But it is i think also a representation of what americans thought that this could be which is when he got up after the shot on july 13th said fight, fight, fight it was a message to just never give up. Continue on. This is the perfect symbolic, you know, dynamic of doing exactly that. The crowd, obviously, was gigantic perhaps the safest place in the world. Was butler, pennsylvania. So i think that this was not just to take it back and to say we did fight and we are fighting. But also reminder of what's transpired in the last three months. My god in the midst of the horrible situation with the hurricane, the dynamic with a second assassination attempt. You know what the american people going back and forth polls not knowing what's really going on. And, i mean, this is a real turning point for the country and this kind of an event and with elon musk participating. Huge difference of a reminder about how wide this tent is and who is involved now so it was very exciting and i think part of the healing process but part of another stage of never giving up kennedy: it is important thaw yo point that out this is a healing process. For pennsylvania, specifically, and the country at large but david do you know the former president? there has to be nerves involved here he's still a human being. How did he and his team overcome that because he was saying for quite some time that he was going to go back to butler to have a bigger rally. But tell me about the nerves. Tell me about the personal aspect here. David: fortunately, he has a really strong family around him. And that's a big part of this. Donald trump is a fighter. If you go back through his entire history, business or otherwise, he's the guy who fights back who stands up. And he's demonstrated that long before politics. Family is important to him. He really believes in this. He really believes in the vision for america that is for americans. And the healing moment i think you make very good point is about america. We need to see that we're sell in the fight for this country. Not just for an individual or a political party. But really for the country. And i can tell you that, you know perspectives matter here. Michael reagan and i have talked about the perspectives after they attempted to assassinate his father. The effect it had on ronald reagan he never missed church after he left the white house donald trump talked about faith more which is important and it is not just faith in america but faith in ourselves that we can actually step out there fight and win something that's good for everybody. He's not when you hear him there. He's not just talking about republicans. He's talking about america. Kennedy: he said that right off the bat he made a point of saying this movement it is not just for conservatives that doesn't matter. If you're conservative or liberal where you stand if you don't have a label this country this movement is for you. But you know, david touching on something very important and that was the attempted assassination attempt of ronald reagan president reagan he's gone on to be arguably the most popular president of the modern era and every republican who runs for president you know always cites reagan tries to be the next reagan we don't know how different the story would have been if lincoln or jfk survived their assassinations but the fact that this president has survived. He goes back to that very spot. I mean, when we say momentous, it really truly is. The courage that it takes and such short order to go back there. And speak to cory's family about and you know people of butler, the people in pennsylvania, so, obviously, all of the networks are covering this right because this is a huge event. Cnn, nsnbc did cover this but when you tuned in a bit later they both break away at that point this is one of the biggest moments at this campaign the debate between joe biden and donald trump. That was a huge moment because that ended joe biden running for president again. This could be very well outside of maybe the second debate. Maybe the jd vance debate a huge moment. And i love the way he started thes speech. First four words as i was saying. In other words picking up right where he left off. Nbc news reporter said this is largest crowd he's ever seen at a rally. So that speaks volumes here at this point. Couple of notes here kennedy. Class and closure here for donald trump. That should have absolutely been there. In the first place, and not one person has been fired from the secret service isn't that incredible after two assassination attempts no accountability what so far. Kennedy: we're going get to that because we've and a deeper dive into media about what's happened post mortem and why haven't people been fired and reaction on the ground let's go to correspondent elizabeth mcadams tell us about the rally atmosphere you were there on july 13th. How was today different? ♪ ♪ hi kennedy being back out here on the stage pretty much the same spot i was 12 weeks ago we can tell you it is a much different feeling you can hear it behind me you can see there's still an opera singer out here really trying to instill how important this moment is not just butler but what the campaign says all of america this was also more of a solemn remembrance ceremony today. For former president trump who talked a lot about cory that was the man shot and killed while sitting here in the stands in july his family was here today and met with the former president as soon as his plane landed and they talked about how important this day was for them. As they try to continue that healing process. Watch. When the sound of gunshots pierced the air on that july evening cory leapt into the fire one more time. And his last seconds throw himself on the top of his wife and daughters he didn't want them hurt he threw himself he knew what was happening. He didn't want them hurt. ♪ ♪ so again just taking in the moment here if you can believe it. Having all of these weeks come by, that day when the former president went down behind that podium we saw blood on his ear. We were, you know, just where i am right now 80 feet back from him and wasn't sure if he was badly wounded if he was again, ever stand back up. We saw him get rushed off by the secret service to a local hospital. He thanked those doctors who operated on the other men one including cory who lost his life. So i think you've got to give former president a lot of credit here former president trump whether people like him no matter what part of the political aisle sit on they couldn't get back where they were shot and let alone get back here in butler, pennsylvania, kennedy you were talking about how does former president push through this? i talked to him in butler in michigan and he said, about butler it was going to be the safest place in the country today and reflected how sometimes you can't overthink it you've got to get back up and got a message here. He said he was not done with this speech and he wanted to finish it today. ♪ ♪ kennedy: alexis, obviously, a lot of people, the attendees they felt the same way because they showed up in droves to be a part of history. For them, and i'm sure a lot of people who were not at the original event but i want to know from you how much more security did you see and feel today? and did that affect the rally? yeah i think from the moment we pulled in today just the way it was organized from the parking last time a lot of volunteers. Which was great that, you know, people wanted to help out. But they were just kind of letting people park wherever, there wasn't a specific security plan. So you saw the snipers on the rooftop state and federal authorities all over and that bullet proof glass around the former president when he was on stage.
