Date Time
Merrigal Street Bridge Nearing Completion
Funding made available through the Australian Government’s Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Program has provided for the construction of a pedestrian and cyclist bridge over the canal on the southern side of Merrigal Street between Noorla Street and Kywong Street.
Yoogali Engineering have completed manufacturing and placement of the bridge for Griffith City Council which will provide future connectivity between Westend Stadium and Jubilee Oval. In the future this will allow the Sports Precincts to be linked together in a safe way.
Griffith Mayor, Councillor John Dal Broi said with the creation of the redevelopment of the Westend Sports Facility, it is expected that pedestrian and cyclist traffic will increase. “Connection from our sporting facilities will be increasingly important with the current works, and providing safe commuter access is paramount,” said Councillor Dal Broi ....

A group of 40 members once part of the Cincinnati chapter of Socialist Alternative formed their own organization in June, Cincinnati Socialists. ....

FC Cincinnati's Odyssey to TQL Stadium - Cincinnati Magazine

Cincinnati Magazine
May 13, 2021
Come Sunday, 879 days will have passed since FC Cincinnati broke ground on what recently became designated TQL Stadium. FCC receives a grand audience for its stadium reveal, with fans back in the stands for an Orange and Blue game for the first time since September 29, 2019, and a national television audience joining for the 4 p.m. start vs. Inter Miami.

It will be fascinating to see if those two traits continue in 2021 with pandemic-limited attendance and the club’s on-field performance inspiring virtually no confidence through three matches this year. ....
