These people have all been sentenced for violence or threatening behaviour A MAN who racially abused three people in Bury on June 2 has been jailed for 24 weeks by Manchester magistrates. The court heard that Daniel Brearley, aged 35, of Bolton Road, Bury, used threatening behaviour towards his victims and at the time he was already subject to a suspended prison sentence for criminal damage and assault. Brearley pleaded guilty and, in addition to the jail sentence was ordered to pay his victims a total of £300 in compensation. MAGISTRATES have ordered a man to undertake 80 hours of unpaid work after he damaged a woman’s mobile phone and assaulted a police officer on September 10 last year. Karol Wodarczyk, aged 39, of Bolton Road, Bury, pleaded guilty to committing the offences when he appeared before Manchester magistrates. STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. The NYPD is investigating a crash Saturday on Emerson Hill that left two people in critical condition.
At approximately 3:45 p.m., emergency personnel received a call that two people were ejected from a vehicle at Milford Drive and Hewitt Avenue, the FDNY said.
Two women, ages 20 and 26, were taken to Staten Island University Hospital North, Ocean Breeze, in critical condition, police said. The women sustained facial trauma and are likely to survive, police said.
