ORANGE - At only 25, Jonathan “Jon” Gioia is living the dream with the opening of his Empire Tattoo shop, the name a reference to “Star Wars.”
“I’ve been drawing all my life. Once I got my first tattoo at 18, I thought, what an honor to put your art on a person’s body,” he said. “It’s always been my dream to have my own shop.” ....

Officials said they have arrested a Milford man who is accused of berating a person for wearing his mask outdoors.
The man, 38-year-old Joseph Rohrig, allegedly pulled up next to a man walking on the street and told him to Go back to China, according to police.

MILFORD A local business owner was charged after police said he used racial slurs and threatened the owner of a neighboring business.
John Iaffaldano, 57, who runs a business in the Research Drive commercial complex, was charged with second-degree threatening, second-degree harassment and breach of peace, police said. He was released on a promise to appear and given a May 3 court date.
Police said Iaffaldano allegedly called the owner of the neighboring business repeatedly on Sunday night, while “using racial slurs, and threatening to kill the other owner.” ....
