Members of South Holland District Councilâs Planning Committee deferred N Bondâs application to create seven flats at the Riverside Hotel in Surfleet. The virtual meeting on Wednesday was told that the majority of the building was in flood zone one, while there was an element in flood zone 3 along with the fact that Environment Agency (EA) had lodged a technical objection. ....

A 25-year-old female pedestrian, who has since been named as Samantha Jayes, died as a result of suicide after she was hit by a van on Middle Street in Burton village at around 1.25am on March 4 last year. The IOPC investigated the matter following a referral from Lincolnshire Police after the force attended an incident involving the same woman during the evening of Tuesday, March 3 last year. Police attended an incident on March 1 involving her walking in the road and she was taken to hospital as a place of safety. She had been found on Middle Street in Burton threatening to take her own life. ....

Mrs E Hanrahan applied to South Holland District Council to create a travellers site for her family on land at Oak Tree Meadow, Spalding.
