SPECIAL THANKS â At Thursdayâs Wintersville Council meeting, Mayor Robbie Martin joined the family of the late Regina Coppa in thanking staff with Wright Traffic Control, NPL Construction Co. and Columbia Gas for the respect they paid as her funeral procession passed through their work zone. WINTERSVILLE Two key changes were made on Wintersville Council, and thanks went to crews involved with a gas line project for the respect they paid to a late local resident.

WINTERSVILLE Wintersville joined other local communities undergoing major transitions when Council President Robbie Martin was sworn in as interim mayor.
The action came on Friday following the resignation in April of Bob Gale, who held the position for 13 years.
Martin also is no stranger to the village.
A lifelong Wintersville resident, he has served on council for close to 20 years, during which he has been council president 10 years, often alternating with Councilman Bob Merriman.
