Stratham NH Old Town Hall named to state historical register

Portsmouth Herald STRATHAM – The Old Town Hall was recently named to the New Hampshire State Register of Historic Places. Built in 1877 by Stratham resident Hezekiah Leavitt, the Old Town Hall is situated on Portsmouth Avenue in what was then the town center. I drove by this morning and I was surprised to find that one of the new businesses seems to have already opened their doors up for business. Universal Fitness, which up until last week operated out of the Steelebrook Plaza on Watertown Avenue in Waterbury, has become the first place to officially open their doors in the converted old Kmart building at 595 Straits Turnpike in Watertown.
