Premium Content Subscriber only A man who was arrested by police after attending a birthday celebration at a local nightspot, appeared in Gladstone Magistrates Court on Monday. The man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, pleaded guilty to contravening a domestic violence order. Police prosecutor Kelvin Boyd read the facts of the man’s case to the court and Acting Magistrate Damian Carroll. There is a current protection order naming the respondent (defendant in the matter) and the aggrieved which specified the respondent cannot follow or approaching within 100 metres of the aggrieved. On May 9, about 12.30am, police attended a nightclub in Gladstone in relation to a man being detained by security for another matter. ....

Kyle Ronald Alexander, 22, pleaded guilty to two charges before Acting Magistrate Damian Carroll. The prosecution detailed the facts of Alexander’s case to the court, which commenced on March 4, about 10.40am. Calliope police intercepted Alexander in a Subaru driving on Herbetson St, West Gladstone. Alexander produced a learner’s permit and police computer checks revealed his driver’s licence had been SPER suspended on February 11, 2021. He stated he was not aware he was suspended by SPER as he had not received any contact from them. ....

Shawn Albert Johnson, 27, pleaded guilty in Gladstone Magistrates Court on Tuesday to drug-driving. On January 4, about 9.33am, Calliope police intercepted a silver Hyundai Getz on the Dawson Hwy, Calliope. Johnson was identified as the driver and subsequently returned a positive test result to cannabis. ....

She was located 50 metres up the hill, however, due to her intoxication level she was not formally questioned in relation to the matter. Hampton was diverted into the care of her mother after she was involved in a subsequent incident. Police attended the club and obtained CCTV footage of the incident.
