A spokesman for GrowNYC said three vendors would be expected The Orchards of Concklin from Rockland County, N.Y., Francesca’s Bakery from Middlesex County, N.J. and Ole’ Mother Hubbert from Orange County, N.Y. What was supposed to be the first Greenmarket appearance in the New Springville location has been cancelled as the anticipated farmers will not be attending. A rep from GrowNYC said two producers originally were committed to coming this Saturday The Orchards of Concklin and Ol’ Mother Hubbert. She added that the hope is for better luck next week on the official start of the market for the 2021 season. ....

Enter the Greenmarket at the Staten Island Mall, which returns this Saturday, May 8 for the 2021 season. Rain or shine, growers from the region will station themselves at Marsh Avenue and Ring Road each Saturday through mid-December.
