Truck driver seriously Injured in crash on US-23 Tuesday
The accident happened about 11:05 a.m. Tuesday, according to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.
A preliminary investigation by sheriff’s deputies revealed the man was driving a 2016 Mack concrete truck northbound when it rear ended the flatbed trailer of a 2015 Freightliner semi-truck that was slowing down for stopped traffic due to another crash that had occurred earlier on the northbound side. After the initial crash, the Mack truck ran off the roadway and overturned, the sheriff’s office said in a press release. The operator of the Mack truck was airlifted to a Toledo, Ohio, hospital by Mercy Life Flight.
