Crews Make Headway On $63M I-16/I-75 Improvement Project : CEG

Crews from E.R. Snell Contractor Inc. and C.W. Matthews Contracting Company Inc. are making considerable progress to complete the $63 million, Phase 1 of the I-16/I-75 Improvement Project this summer and Phases 2 and 3 this upcoming winter.
Since ground was broken inâ¯April 2017â¯on theâ¯Georgiaâ¯Department of Transportation s (GDOT)
I-16/I-75 Improvement Project in Macon, crews from
E.R. Snell Contractor Inc. and
C.W. Matthews Contracting Company Inc. are making considerable progress to complete the $63 million Phase 1 this summer and Phases 2 and 3 this upcoming winter.
The goal for this massive project is a final delivery in 2030. ....

Ocmulgee Mounds National Historic Park could expand into national park and preserve
The team says they have to raise $1.2 million by August for the park to be recognized as a National park.

MACON, Ga. Macon s beloved Ocmulgee Mounds National Historic park may soon quadruple in size.
A group of people hope to expand the park and turn it into the first National Park and Preserve east of the Mississippi River.
There s one city in the entire United States that has a national park in it, Chris Sheridan said.
Chris Sheridan and Seth Clark joined the Ocmulgee National Park and Preserve Initiative team to make Macon, the second city in the United States with a national park. ....

Ocmulgee River User's Guide is sixth book in Georgia River Network series

Georgia River Network, in partnership with the University of Georgia Press, has released the sixth installment in the organizationâs River Userâs Guide book series. The Ocmulgee River Userâs Guide is now available.
