Since ground was broken inâ¯April 2017â¯on theâ¯Georgiaâ¯Department of Transportation s (GDOT) I-16/I-75 Improvement Project in Macon, crews from E.R. Snell Contractor Inc. and C.W. A group of people hope to expand the park and turn it into the first National Park and Preserve east of the Mississippi River.
