Harrisburg Woman Arrested For Stealing From Nancy Pelosi s Office (Harrisburg, PA) A Lower Paxton Township woman is being accused of stealing from Nancy Pelosi s office during the U.S. Capitol riot. Riley June Williams was arrested and charged yesterday with knowingly entering a restricted building or ground without lawful authority, violent entry and disorderly conduct on Capitol Grounds for her alleged involvement in the mob attack in D.C at the beginning of the month. FBI authorities say they believe Williams stole a laptop computer or a hard drive device from Speaker Nancy Pelosi s office. According to a tip they received from a friend of Williams, she said she is planning to sell the laptop or hard drive to another friend in Russia. The FBI s investigation is still ongoing. ....
Kautz, a software engineer from East Lampeter Township, had been doing research for his upcoming book, “The Conestoga River: A History,” and came across multiple accounts of a 17th-century fur trade route through Lancaster, Berks and Chester counties used by Native Americans and early Colonists. Native Americans would paddle canoes loaded with beaver and deer hides from their villages along the Susquehanna the length of the Conestoga River. When the headwaters of the Conestoga became too shallow to be navigable, they would have to carry their canoes a couple miles to the headwaters of Pine Creek, which flowed into French Creek and on to the Schuylkill River where trading posts were located. ....

According to a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) notice filed on Dec. 16, the Sonic Drive-In located at 2610 E. Macdade Blvd. in Holmes is closing. That location is operated by Drumore Restco, according to the notice. Subscribe The WARN notice says 21 people are affected by the closure. Sonic has 3,497 locations nationwide, with 15 in Pennsylvania. However, WARN notices were filed for nine other Pennsylvania Sonic locations. ....

A Sonic Drive-In franchisee filed a WARN (Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification) notice last week for the 10 locations. The Lehigh Valley’s only Sonic Drive-In on Airport Road in Allentown is not among the closures. The franchisee said in the WARN notice that the closures are due to unforeseen challenges to normal business operations. The WARN notices were dated Dec. 15 and the closing of the locations were effective as of Dec. 16. ....
