This lasted until past 1 00 oclock in the morning but it now is finale calm in downtown oakland and is broken up and settled down. Now it is time for the cleanup process. Diablo. Overnight, the fire doubled in size since it broke out yesterday afternoon around 1 30 and we just received new numbers on how big the fire is right now. So far, it has burned more than 3,000 acres. These are live pictures of some of the fire lines from newschopper2. Crews are getting a handle on it and right now its 20 contained and nearly 100 homes are under a mandatory evacuation.
