Carl mcnair something was very strange about this launch. The solid rocket boosters were veering to the left and veering to the right and there was, obviously, an explosion. My immediate thought was, this is some crazy scifi movie. but mcnairs brother, carl, and the rest of the world quickly realized it wasnt that. All seven astronauts died just 73 seconds into the flight, including mcnair, a native of lake city. Carl mcnair i stood there and essentially just broke down and cried.
