I dont know if those are condos or homes right there. This is in san jose and you can see the flames there near Independence High School. Lets bring in our chief meteorologist jeff ranieri. Jeff, weve been talking about this the last couple of weeks, the wind and heat conditions. Whats it looking like in San Francisco right now . We do have warm temperatures. Winds kicking up a little bit. Not nearly as gusty as what we had last weekend. Going to be blowing smoke from the north and the west off towards the south tonight. As weve seen in those pictures, that smoke certainly is moving, but i think the lack of major wind gusts tonight should enable those firefighters to be able to get a pretty good hold on this. Right now we have gusts up to about 18 miles per hour. A sustained wind at 10 and 85 degrees. Im just hopping over to my other weather computer here. Just want to let you know that near mckee road, also alum rock avenue, if youre near those locations, the smoke is blowing towards you. So just be ready for maybe some evacuations. Were not sure if its gotten there yet but, again, mckee road, as well as alum rock road, the smoke would be blowing toward you. So please Pay Attention to any type of advisories you get from emergency personnel. It was hot, as i talked about. Lets take you into some of the warmest weather today. 92 in santa rosa. Way above that average of 80. Livermore at 90, above the average of 79. Not good enough for records but certainly a very hot day across the bay area. Now, tomorrow monitoring we sta morning we start off a little warmer. 69 in the trivalley and 66 in the south bay. Mostly clear skies. Also notice over the coastline, San Francisco, a bit of patchy fog i expect there, and thats why the coast will not heat up as much tomorrow as those inland valleys. So what do the temperatures look like . Down here in the south bay i have it warming up just a couple of degrees. To 93 in east san jose. Winds generally 10 to 17 miles per hour. So a little bit breezy, but not too gusty. 95 in pittsburgh and also 94 in pleasanton. The east bay really the number one hotte location. Peninsula, 90 in palo san mateo up to 83. San francisco, some 70s right around the mission, also downtown San Francisco. You head to the coast, a chilly 64 in the marina. Across the north bay, the warmest here in napa at 93. Also, clear lake, 92. So one more day of that heat coming our way through tomorrow. I want everybody to be thinking about is another late season system that has some rainfall with it. As we move into friday and saturday. Ive actually increased chances a little bit here. If you followed my forecast yesterday, i said it would be close to us. Right now im looking at about a 35 chance of spotty showers friday and saturday. Notice those temperatures dropping off in the low 60s in San Francisco. For the inland valleys, that hot 95 tomorrow down to 75 on fridays forecast. Now, a closer view of that rainfall and youll see 7 00 p. M. Friday its offshore. So were really looking at late friday, also into saturday morning for this potential of maybe some spotty showers. Im not totally sold on the widespread coverage just yet, but once again, watch out for showers maybe friday and saturday, and that would be good news, of course, raj and jess, for the fire danger. Any kind of late season rain we can get, it just adds a little bit of moisture. So some good news down the line for us. For sure, jeff. Thank you. Up next, good news in the east bay. Whats reopening in two days . Next. Long lines like these are why state leaders in georgia are calling for an investigation into voting delays.
