Date Time Public health alert – Melbourne NSW Health is closely monitoring the situation in Victoria as local health authorities investigate four COVID-19 cases detected in Melbourne’s northern suburbs. The new cases visited a number of venues while infectious. People arriving in Sydney from the Greater Melbourne area are reminded that they must complete a declaration which confirms they have not attended one of these venues of concern. The declaration form is available on the Service NSW website, and can be completed in the 24-hour period before entering NSW or on arrival. NSW Health will be contacting people who have completed declarations to ask them to check the Victoria Department of Health and Human Services website and immediately follow the outlined public health advice. The Victoria-based private healthcare provider has recycled almost 30 tonnes of food waste, medical PVC and employee uniforms in the past year, producing electricity, garden hoses and stuffing for exercise equipment. The group’s flagship Richmond hospital is halfway through a three-year trial gathering food offcuts from its kitchen and dehydrating them in a WasteMaster machine to create a powdered residue. ....
Date Time Construction surges ahead at Wollert East Community Centre The development of the new community centre in Wollert East reached an exciting milestone this week, with the completion of the concrete foundation providing an expansive base for the highly-anticipated community services hub. City of Whittlesea Administrator Peita Duncan was joined by The Hon. Lily D’Ambrosio MP and Bronwyn Halfpenny MP to inspect the progress of the future multi-purpose community centre and proudly oversaw the concrete pouring. The centre, located on De Rossi Boulevard, will provide essential services to the booming population in the city’s north. It will include a modern three‑room kindergarten, two fully equipped maternal and child health consulting suites, a community hall, meeting spaces for community groups and an outdoor area. ....
