Construction surges ahead at Wollert East Community Centre
The development of the new community centre in Wollert East reached an exciting milestone this week, with the completion of the concrete foundation providing an expansive base for the highly-anticipated community services hub.
City of Whittlesea Administrator Peita Duncan was joined by The Hon. Lily D’Ambrosio MP and Bronwyn Halfpenny MP to inspect the progress of the future multi-purpose community centre and proudly oversaw the concrete pouring.
The centre, located on De Rossi Boulevard, will provide essential services to the booming population in the city’s north. It will include a modern three‑room kindergarten, two fully equipped maternal and child health consulting suites, a community hall, meeting spaces for community groups and an outdoor area.
