The threat a repeating third grade now is being designed to motivate students to work harder in school as some schools are struggling to overcome major setbacks lingering from the pandemic. Bill third grade is a critical benchmark. Those who cant read are four times more likely to drop out of school. Gillian memphis, tennessee, 76 of third graders there right now not proficient in reading. Only 1 of those students were held back a year. Bill at problem chronic absenteeism.
