Suspicious. A shark scare this morning. The beach was evacuated after a possible sighting. Lifeguards spotted a possible shark in oyster bay around noon. Close to 2,000 people were on the beach at the time. Lifeguards blew their whistles everybody was evacuated into the sand. The shark is believed to be about five feet long. Police using a helicopter to spot it. Believe it or not, its just two months away until the pope arrives in philadelphia. Outside a bar in camden. A judge sentenced him to 70 years in prison today. A jury convicted him back in may. He shot and killed Timothy Loper in december of 2013. Loper, a marine, served in afghanistan. He was trying to break up a fight outside a bar on 2nd and spruce when he was killed. His father was in the courtroom today. He says the sentencing does bring some closure. Justice was served for the murder act but the pain is not going away. We still feel the pain. Of losing my son. He will not be eligible for parole for 50 years. We have new information since 5 00 on this water main break in east falls. A 12inch main broke this afternoon on scotts lane. Upper 80s, a hot and dry end to the day. By 8 00 p. M. Mid 80s. Still pretty hot and dry. Low humidity. By 10 00 tonight, temperatures in the low 80s so very comfortable through the overnight hours.
