The big story, of course is the winter storm watch and that approaching noreaster and right now all coastal counties in delaware and south jersey are under a storm watch. This starts this evening, goes all the way until thursday evening and now an advisory has been added in the rest of the south jersey counties all the way up to the i95 corridor. And dover, delaware and kent county delaware also included. This is where most of the snow will likely fall. Although its possible that philadelphia and some parts of southeastern pennsylvania also get something. Ahead of all of this were actually looking at sunshine a little later this morning to start out. And then this cloud cover that you can see welling up and pushing north toward Raleigh North Carolina and into virginia shortly after that will start to overtake us and youre starting to see a little precipitation down south. Hours. This was the first band of storms that moved through chester, montgomery and pushing past bucks county. Heavy rainfall Flash Flood Warnings in effect in those areas. Look at the heavy rainfall and lots of lightning just to the west of glassboro, glassboro seeing the heavy rainfall is moving towards gloucester right now and into camden county. This particular area of storms is reaching into south philadelphia producing heavy rain. Got some lightning there as well. Part of why weve issued a first alert weather day fmr today. Localized flooding is possible because of the heavy downpours and the threat of that will continue this afternoon. Weve already seen some severe thunderstorms this morning with the potentially damaging winds bringing down tree limbs and power lines. Cant rule that out later today either.
