Meteorologist kari hall has been tracking those temps for us. Were starting out cool this morning in the trivalley, checking out whats going on in dublin, and we are seeing some clear visibility for now. We will see some light, patchy fog drifting by, but it will be slightly cooler today. And by tomorrow well have a very cold morning. Some of us may be starting out near freezing. Our dry weather does continue at least throughout the weekend. Well talk about whats ahead coming up. Mike, how is it looking right now for the commute . Kari, its looking really great right now as we look at the bay bridge toll plaza. Very light volume now and i expect for the earlier morning commute maybe 6 00, 6 15 well see slowing. Well watch that. The maps show no major issues around the bay. Maybe a little fog in the north bay.
Yesterday. In fact, it is going to evaporate much quicker today. Enjoy sunshine just about all day today and slightly milder temperatures from like 68 in fairfield to 58 in Half Moon Bay. Most of us in the low to mid 60s this afternoon. Update on the thanksgiving forecast coming up. Heres reggie with the news. Mike, thank you. Californias Health Secretary is warning that more counties could move into the purple tier. And, of course, thats the states most restrictive. We anticipate there will be some tier movement. Handful of counties likely moving to a more restrictive tier. Here in the bay area, three counties in the red tier right now but they could slide back to purple and that includes San Francisco, san mateo and marin counties. Dr. Mark ghaly defended the curfew restrictions that are already in the purple tier. He said it is necessary to help curve the spread. You can watch him live today at noon on our abc7news. Com. California is pulling back on reopenings as the number of covi
Is going on outside. We have a little bit of fog out there and especially thick up across the north bay. Look at that. The usual spots the fog has moved in through the coast and coastal valleys and petaluma, geyserville in that area and remain there for the better part of the morning commute. Heres a look down in the south bay where were looking pretty clear on 87. Temperatures not as warm today, but definitely above average from 62 in Half Moon Bay and low to mid 70s around the bay and mid 70s to even a few 80s inland and especially 80s in the east bay. Lets get back to you for the news. Thank you, mike. Happening now the polls are officially open and voting is under way in many states along the east coast, the midwest and the south. This is a line forming outside of the American Airlines arena in dallas, texas. You can see its pretty early there, but people are already up in line waiting for their chance to vote this election day. Now, voters in swing states they will likely decide t
Shot as you can see of sorry of of the Golden Gate Bridge off to the distance there just a little bit of that haze to start things off. How we deal with those temperatures mostly 40s going on in line nice little cool down 56 San Francisco, 54 oakland, Half Moon Bay by the way we do see some fog there at 46 and 45 inland for livermore antioch at 48, however, these readings are a couple degrees ahead of where we were from yesterday or would have been about about the guess 08 00am at that point a look the wakeup forecast is sunny with temperatures in the 50s approaching 60 or so then about high noon well get some of those 70s working in here approaching 80 and into the afternoon most inland temperatures will be well in the 80s, ultimate highs even along the east bay shoreline should be in the 80s. Well take a closer look at your forecast coming up in just a bit marty. All right. Dave thanks live. We begin the news this morning with breaking news from the south bay where police are investi
From the Sierra Nevada to obviously yep still very hazy the east bay this morning that shot there from walnut creek and use of the smoke map a second ago this just reinforcing it that deep maroon show you how poor air quality is across the region. Winds, not present enough to be forcing that widespread haze out of the reason region and we still do have plenty of smoke imbedded in the fog just offshore which as it moves in across the bay is still impacting us with some fog and some smoke, fresh smoke being pushed in from the pacific. So not your ideal way to start off this monday morning, although i guess on a little bit of a positive note. Air quality is better than it was over the weekend. 50s and 60s for current temperatures later today, well be looking at some comfortable weather as well, not a big chance, a good chance to step outside and enjoy these comfortable temperatures as skies remain hazy into the afternoon. But at least daytime highs only in the 60s 70s, 80s. Thats your for
