He s also warning all parties against de railing progress towards a potential agreement. And it is notjust the us who are stressing the importance of reaching a deal. Speaking earlier on radio four s today programme, jordan s deputy prime minister and foreign minister, ayman safadi said that a ceasefire is key to preventing wider escalation in the region. The last chance has been months in the making. Every day that passes by without an end to this aggression means more people are being killed and the threat of regional al al escalation becoming more real.
